What is Elklan Speech and Language Support for 5-11’s?
A practical training course for staff working in primary schools to enable them to develop the speech and language skills of ALL children but especially those with speech and language difficulties. It gives practical advice and strategies which are also suitable for children with English as an additional language and other special educational needs. Over 7,000 people have already completed this training in the UK and found it has helped them to differentiate the curriculum more effectively.
What do participants receive?
A Level 3 or Level 2 nine credit Award in Knowledge and Practice to Support the Communication Skills of 5-11s – both levels are now on the QCF! A portfolio of evidence will need to be submitted.

How is it delivered?
The course is run over ten weekly sessions (each session lasts two hours.) Sessions will be run every Tuesday starting on 9th January from 2-4pm. The course uses interactive teaching methods, practical activities, videos and group discussion to engage learners.

How much does it cost?
The Speech and Language Department at TMA school are pleased to announce that the current fee is £340 (normally £375 if supplied by Elklan). This includes the accreditation fee and Language Builders book.
‘Early bird’ offer for schools within the IFtL MAT the cost will be £260 and all other schools will be £300 (instead of £340). This offer is valid until 10th November 2017.
