Dear Parents/Carers,

Please be assured that we are following all the up to date guidance being given to schools regarding the corona virus. Please see link below for information.

Additional measures have been put in place to prioritise hygiene and basic information about how to stop the spread of germs and this has been shared with the children. Department for Education have launched a new helpline to answer questions about COVID-19 related to education. Staff, parents and young people can contact the helpline as follows:

Phone: 0800 046 8687
Email: DfE.coronavirushelpline@education.gov.uk
Opening hours: 8am to 6pm (Monday to Friday)

The Government guidance states that no school should close in response to a suspected (or confirmed) COVID-19 case unless directed to do so by Public Health England. In the eventuality of a closure, we would notify all parents following our normal procedures and communicate this via ParentPay, Facebook, Twitter and our school website.

How can you help?

·         Talk to your children about basic hygiene such as hand washing.

·         Children to bring their own labelled water bottles. We are now asking children NOT to drink from the water fountains. Water fountains are to be used to fill water bottles only.

·         Ensure your child is carrying a tissue at all times.

We will continue to keep you informed of any updates we receive.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
