Home Learning Overview
For full details of our Home Learning expectations, please see this Powerpoint below.
As part of our Home Learning Curriculum, we use some fantastic online learning platforms so children can access different aspects of the curriculum at home.
White Rose Maths

Always happy to help, the White Rose Maths Team has prepared a series of five maths lessons for each year group from Year 1-8. We will be adding five more each week for the next few weeks. Every lesson comes with a short video showing you clearly and simply how to help your child to complete the activity successfully.
Oak National Academy

Oak National Academy is a new collection of high-quality lessons and online resources. Backed by the Government, it has been created in response to the coronavirus lockdown.
Our online classroom offers free access to great teachers, delivering video lessons, quizzes and worksheets. Available for both primary and secondary levels, it covers a range of subjects. All of the lessons are ordered so your child can learn along a clear plan.

TT Rockstars
A real favourite of the children! This is a fun and interactive way for children to learn their times tables. Firstly, children create their own rock avatar, then navigate through a rock world whilst competing at ‘Jams’ and ‘Stadiums’ to improve their rock speed (how quickly and accurately they answer times tables questions) and earn coins that can be spent to personalise their avatar.
All children have been given log ons and passwords for Bug Club and TT Rockstars. These are recorded in their Home Learning books. If you have any questions regarding log ons and passwords please speak to your child’s class teacher.
Nessy
Some children, as part of their provision and intervention, have log ins to Nessy. This fantastic online resources supports children in making progress with their reading, writing, spelling and maths.
Spellings
Maths
Rapid recall and fluency are very important for children to feel confident in maths lessons and progress easily on to new maths teaching. Below are the ‘Key Recall Fact’ booklets for each year group. Throughout maths lessons, children will be using these basic maths skills regularly and any extra practice at home towards these will support your child.
Keeping Active
At TMA, we believe that children having an active lifestyle is extremely important. We encourage the children to be as active as possible and make sure we embedded physical activity into as many lessons as we can. Here are some links to videos and websites that we use within school so if you want to keep your children active at home whilst learning and revising concepts, these links are good places to start.
